SEQTA – Co-Curricular
Winter Co-Curricular training and games have now commenced. All Co-Curricular information including training schedules and fixtures can be found in the Co-Curricular portal on SEQTA. Please check this regularly as all information and fixtures will be updated here.
Referees and Umpires
We are looking for Football and Soccer referees / umpires for Term 2 and 3. All games will be played on a Saturday morning and are paid. If you are interested, please contact mparrella@bps.sa.edu.au
First XVIII Football
Congratulations to the students who debuted in the First XVIII Football team – Blake Jordan, Flynn Robertson, Kelsey Rypstra, David Yem, Maxim Panuccio, Isaac Keeler, Lachlan Sewart, Nicholas Salandra, James Dibbens, Jonathan Neate, Dylan Bignell and Will Ralph.
The First XVIII Football team will take on Mercedes College on Saturday 11 May at Prospect Oval.
Congratulations on the following boys who were voted by their team members to lead the squad in 2019:
- Captain – Luke Hodby
- Vice-Captain – Kane Flanagan
- Deputy Vice-Captain – Damon Doody
First XI Soccer
Blackfriars are competing in the inaugural season of the ‘SAAS Messenger First XI Soccer League’. The league was established to expand on the previous successes of the Twilight Soccer League (TSL). This competition brings all schools together in one competition. Games are played on Wednesday afternoons with kick-off at approximately 4:15pm at various venues including Smith Partners Stadium (Modbury Jets) and The Parks Valo Football Centre.
In the North/East division, Blackfriars will compete against Gleeson, St Ignatius, PAC, Pembroke, St Paul’s, Rostrevor and Trinity. Following these games, the top four teams from the North/East and South/West divisions play off in a finals format.
