Monash Engineering Scholarship

On May 9th , I was honoured to be invited to celebrate former student from class of 2017, Pedram Ahmadiyan Ardestani being awarded the Monash Engineering Scholarship. Monash University arranged a very welcoming evening where I was pleased to hear about the amazing opportunities available to our students. Pedram and his sister Pegah were very diligent, friendly Year 12 students in 2017. Along with many other teachers from the college, I enjoyed teaching these students who asked great questions and always appreciated the extra time given by Doncaster Secondary College teachers. It was fantastic to celebrate Pedram, Pegah and their mother Paridokht, who was very proud that both her twins have obtained scholarships at Monash. Pedram and Pegah asked to pass on their thanks to DSC for an education which has set them up to pursue their dreams. I look forward to hearing more about their achievements in the future.

Help finding feedback on learning tasks

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

Would you like to see more information about the tasks our students are completing?

1. Once you log into compass please click on something referring to Learning tasks. There are two examples below.

2. Look for a Learning Task with a flag   and a due date which has passed. Click on the blue title of the task.

3. Now choose the “Feedback” tab. You will see Grades, Comments and an indication of the effort applied to that task.

4. Do you want to see all the Maths tasks together? Click on the Group by Code tab. You can also sort by Due Date, simply click on the Status tab.

At the end of each semester you will get a summary report of grades for key tasks. The learning Tasks with “Report: Yes” under the title are the tasks which will appear on the Semester Report.
