Herald Sun Shield Launch

On Wednesday the 16th of May all eligible students selected as captains for their respective school football team travelled to Whitten oval for a photo shoot. The gathering was for the launch of the Herald Sun Shield competition, involving all age groups. It was a great event to be a part of. I really enjoyed meeting the AFLW players as well as the whole photo shoot experience. At the end of the day, I walked out of Whitten oval with my head held high, feeling very excited to play in the Herald Sun Shield competition.

On the 16th of May, I had the privilege to go to Witten Oval with Mr Price (coach) and teammate Amber for the Herald Sun Shield award launch. We met two of last year’s WAFL premiership winners Libby Birch & Tiarna Ernst. We were able to get to know them and they gave us some great advice for on and off the footy field. Amber and I geared up and represented DSC for a photo shoot for the Herald Sun paper. The whole day was an amazing experience and I have a photo in the paper to remember it!

Division Cross Country

On Monday, 28 May, 75 students from the College travelled to Macleay Park, in Balwyn, to compete in the Division Cross-Country competition. It was fantastic to see so much running talent on the day, where all students who competed represented the College extremely well. Congratulations to the students who qualified for the Regional Cross- country event to be held later in the month of June!

Two of our students were victorious in their age group; Abbey C. of year 11 and Zane M. of year 8.

A fantastic effort to all of those involved!
