House Cross Country (Y3 - 6)
On Wednesday 8 May we had our House Cross Country Carnival at Balcombe Park Reserve - cold conditions but perfect for running! The Year 3 & 4 students ran a 2km course and the Year 5's & 6's a 3km course through trees, around the oval and along undulating pathways to finish through our BNPS banner. Every student finished the course to a cheering and boisterous crowd of teachers, students and parents.
Thank you to all the House Captains who offered their help on the day by stationing themselves around the course to support all students, particularly the Year 3's who were participating for the first time. It would not have been a success without your support. Also, to the parents who came down to cheer their children on, thanks for creating a wonderful atmosphere. To the BNPS staff, once again a great event with everyone involved and enjoying the day.
Congratulations to the 72 students in Year 4 - 6 who qualified for the Seaside District Cross Country to be held on Tuesday 28 May at Dendy Park. The Top 4 in each age group are listed below.

Our New House Chants!
The new chants for the Houses, written and choreographed by Jack Canty (Teacher Assistant), were put to good use at the House Cross Country event - there were many 'Chant offs' on the day which the students thoroughly enjoyed! Check out the videos below!
