Brisbane Water Zone Swimming Carnival

Congratulations to the students who represented Henry Kendall at the Brisbane Water Zone Swimming Carnival last Thursday.

The team consisted of 50+ swimmers who took part in over 140 events on the day. As a school, we performed well, improving our overall position from last year. We had some excellent individual results too with an anticipated 10+ students qualifying for Sydney North.

HKHS 'The Oilers'!

The Henry Kendall High School Open Boys Basketball team, 'The Oilers', played Mosman High School in the 2nd round of the knockout competition on Thursday 5 March. It was a close fought game, but unfortunately Mosman pulled away at the end of the 3rd quarter and we were unable to reel them in. The team played with heart and respect, and have built a solid foundation for success in the years to come. We'd like to thank the school's P&C and the PDHPE department for facilitating the purchase of the new jerseys - they look sharp!

Mr Blake Wawrzyk

'The Oilers' Coach

The 2020 Oilers were - Zane Dowling, Priyansh Gupta, Lachlan Conwell, Owen Elepano (Year 12), Tariq Haddad, Giane Briones, Jack Goncalves (Year 11), Jannai Michel, Jye Goncalves (Year 10) and Malakai Wolfgramm (Year 8).

Thank You Mr Henderson!

All of our students in the Cooinda Cultural group would like to thank Mr Anthony Henderson for his donation of this beautiful quilt. Mr Henderson has been a regular visitor to our Aboriginal resource room where he was inspired by the beauty of the room. He, very generously, made the quilt over many months and wants it to be a quilt that is used by our students when they may need time out from this busy world we live in.

Jersey Day

On Wednesday 11 March, Henry Kendall High School held a Jersey Day to mark the beginning of the game season for many sporting codes - NRL, AFL, soccer, basketball, netball , hockey etc.

All staff and students were invited to wear their favourite jersey.

Students made a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the Mark Hughes Foundation for brain cancer.
