First Year Artists

Year 7 Artists

This semester the students who have almost completed their first year of secondary school have written a brief contribution to share what they have enjoyed learning in Ms Schwabe’s Art classes.

I learnt about the elements of art and I like how we learnt about the bunyip, what it was and what it did. – Rylan 

I have liked learning about still life because I like drawing at home and we got to choose what we want to draw. – Ayden 

I have learnt how to use water colour techniques and what is still life. - Caiden 

I learned about lines because it’s nice and calming. – Noah

I like to draw cartoons because it’s the only thing I can draw. - Daniel

I have learned about the elements of art so I can be better when I’m at school or at home. - Cameron

I have learnt about all the elements of art and bunyips. – Jasmine M

I have enjoyed learning about the history of the bunyip and still life. - Pheonix

I enjoy art because you can be creative and learn about design, style, texture, themes, colour, and form. - Jasmeen

I enjoy drawing when I’m really bored and I feel like I’m good at it. Drawing is one of my best talents. - Matthew

I like to draw my cultures patterns and designs in my spare time. They can be used for tattoos and wood carvings. - Hemisphere

I’ve learnt about all the different types of watercolour techniques and how you can create a beautiful picture of food just from some diluted paints. - Amelia

I have learnt about texture and how to use it in a piece of art. - Vernon

This year I was so inspired by the different colours and shapes of different textures, lines and loads of different types of watercolour techniques. Also learning about the myth of the bunyip and the different stories. – Shardae 

I learnt that drawing is just not something on a bit of paper a lot of hard work goes into drawing. - Atley
