November- A Month of Celebration at the College 2018

During the month of November an astounding number of the Kurunjang SC community attended and took part in the celebratory events the college hosted. The festivities started with our Rock Band Music Concert on the 8th of November, followed by the WEC/ VET Awards on the 20th November, the Year 12 Valedictory Celebration on the Wednesday 21st of November and it all concluded with this week’s wonderful End of Year Music concert on Tuesday 27th November.

Over many years of attending events of this nature, I have come to  the conclusion how important and special they are. Each time I have attended events such as these, they reinforce to me how willing our families and community are in supporting positive and enjoyable events and celebrations that showcase the work of our talented students.

Thank you to all of you who attended the events of the last month. The willingness of all of the school community to continue supporting our students I know is greatly appreciated by the school, the staff,

and in particular the students.

These four nights, and all the other events that occur throughout the year, could not possibly occur without the hard work and organisation of both staff and students. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in the preparation of the events of this month and to I want to let them know how much we enjoyed these nights and the fruition of all their hard work.

Specifically, I wish to thank the staff who organised these events.

Well done and congratulations  to:

·  Jo Zerafa, Daniel Muscat, Joe Costa, Mark Zerafa, Fiona Morris, Adam Grech, and to Earl Leonard who together with approximately 100 of our wonderful music students produced a rock concert and End of Year concert full of talent, energy and quality.

·         Rose Lewanski and to her VET team of teachers who once again organized the WEC VET Awards Ceremony and produced a wonderful event.

·         Carmela Sant, Angela Narayan-Butler and Kelsey Ryan for the outstanding success of the Year 12 Valedictory Dinner.

For those of you who were not able to attend, I hope to see you at our next celebration event, the college’s Awards Night on the evening of Thursday 13th December. All the details are available on the college website.

I invite you all to join us in attending the Awards Night and I look forward to seeing you then.
