Koonung Day 

Get ready for Koonung Day 2018! A celebration of school culture and community. This year Koonung Day will feature, as per tradition, the house singing carnival during assembly followed by an hour and a half lunchtime where there will be food trucks, pizzas, a BBQ and baked goods on offer. There will also be live entertainment in the amphitheatre, student vs teacher soccer, a host of mini games, as well as a movie playing in the theatre. One of the most exciting things to be back  is the much loved chocolate and soft drink toss, where many in the past have had exciting wins of excess sugar. For this to be yet again a hit, we’re asking for Year 7s to donate a block of chocolate each,  Year 8s baked goods, and  Year 9s a can of soft drink each. Everyone else who is willing to donate something would also be greatly appreciated. Soft drinks and chocolates can be collected in a box in the Middle Years Centre and baked goods will be collected on the Friday morning. Koonung Day in an excellent reminder of the great culture we have here at our school and it’s an opportunity to celebrate our peers, embrace our diversity, and reflect on the attitudes we want to carry on into the future. So get excited for a great day.
