BEST WISHES TO OUR 24 DIVISION ATHLETES!

We wish our 24 Division Athletes all the very best for tomorrow (Friday) as they head to Lakeside Stadium to compete in their event/s at the Beachside Division Athletics Carnival. 

Their super-impressive dedication to training over the past few months has been so pleasing to see; and we have no doubt their efforts and determination will assist!  Many have been rising early to attend 6.50am training sessions run by some of our Ath’s dads at Sandringham track!  We are very grateful to Craig Furber, Mark Barling, Adam Henry & Ash Simmons for their wonderful assistance!  Thank you also to our staff member; Cathy Ferrari that has assisted me with relay team training as well.

Mr Berlingeri will be supporting the athletes at this carnival.

HOOP TIME hoorays!

Today our Year 3/4 teams enjoyed their day of basketball at MSAC, Albert Park.  We will report on their experiences in next week’s Sports report.

Last Thursday our five Year 5/6 teams had a great day out, playing four or five round-robin games against other Dendy District school teams.  All teams did extremely well during the rounds, with most winning at least 3 or more of their games.  Our All Star Boys won all of their round games, but were defeated in their Grand Final, as were our All Star Girls in their Semi Final.  Our Future Stars teams also did very well; with some super-impressive team-work displayed over the day.

A HUGE THANKYOU to our supporting staff member; Steele Anderson who was a great help to myself and the teams on the day.  We also would like to say a special thank you to all the amazing parents who came along as Coaches or Scorers for their child’s team. Thank you to: Craig Furber, Kylie Hitchiner, Natalie Bell, Eamon Murphy, Jane Largy, Jo Lambie, Susan Rhodes & Karlie Jackett-Simpson.

We believe our All Star Boys MAY have earned a spot at Regionals, but this is yet to be confirmed.  Well done to all players.

Can we please request that all HoopTime & Division Athletic’s borrowed singlets are cold washed & air-dried and returned to school by next Monday.
