What you may not know...

Classic Quotes

Some little quotes over the last few months that we have been able to catch ;)

* I think God uses birds as telescopes to see us...

* Good morning - welcome to 'Wonderful Wednesday'...

* On seeing a Secondary teacher walking towards the classroom at the start of the day:

“Miss, miss, are you going to read from that book again?"  (‘that book’ I’d been reading to them from was the Bible!) My Answer : “Sure am”. :) I love it when the kids are excited about God’s Word…even without realising it.

* It was so encouraging of our parents at Kiss n’ drop, hug, hand out coin, don’t forget your jumper, but far beyond every day things to hear, at least 4 vehicles playing loudly, CHRISTIAN SONGS was just a reminder of what we're about……

*  A TCC staff member had a new style haircut and was feeling a little unsure about it.

On returning to school a Year 2 student looked at her and said “Bad hair day Hey!”

If she was unsure – that helped with decisions – Aren’t kids honest ;)

A Memior by Thomas Williams (Graduating student 2015)

A school of excellence, achievement, preachers and leaders. This is the only way I can describe such a school. Once a small minded, quiet student in junior years, to achievement and self belief. This is the way Taree Christian College has helped me develop into the man I am. Through staff guidance, mentors and a desire to succeed, I have gained admission into a Bachelor of Laws and  work as a paralegal. This is because of a fantastic reference by Mr David Coleman. With luck, after the last year and a half of my degree and The College of Law, I will be admitted as a solicitor through the Supreme Court Of New South Wales. Taree Christian College have provided me with all of the skills required to achieve such.

Two years ago, if Mr Michael Lawson had asked the class to either participate in public speaking or  jump into a swimming pool of snakes and spiders, I would of been the first to dive straight in. From this fear, I have moved on to become a leader within the moot Court room at the University of Western Sydney. Taree Christian College do not only assist in academic achievement but all staff work carefully with students to better themselves as individuals.

Whilst I find it extremely enjoyable analysing my work within the legal firm in Barangaroo which is overlooking Darling Harbour, nothing is more enjoyable returning to Kolodong Rd in Taree and overlooking the school grounds in which have provided me with a future. Without teachers and staff at Taree Christian College I would of probably left school earlier and started building Court rooms instead of desiring to represent in them.

I have also completed a Diploma of Business and I am two units away from achieving a Bachelor of Business. My major will be in finance.

To look ahead further, my career goal is to become a Barrister. I remember on my first day of Year 10. Mrs Attard said to the class, “Thomas, what are your goals after school”. “I plan to study the Law and either succeed as a Barrister by mastering advocacy or litigating as a solicitor”. I expected her to laugh but she insisted to stay back after class and convey to me that I can  do anything. She wouldn't know this but I will never forget her remarks.

As I have been asked to outline my life post schooling, I would like all students past and present to always think above and beyond. Not everyone can achieve everything, but Taree Christian College will take you far enough.

Yours in Christ,

Thomas Williams - Kindergarten to Year 12

Canteen Ordering Online is here!!

Taree Christian College has now introduced a great new online ordering system for our Canteen called FlexiSchools. This system allows parents, students and staff to place orders from home, work or school at any time. The payment is also done online, so less paper bags, cash, cheques, and envelopes are sent via your student to school. As well as being convenient for parents, the online orders are much faster and easier for the canteen coordinator to process - so it makes everyone’s life a little easier.  FlexiSchools is well established and tested, operating in hundreds of schools across Australia.

Getting online is easy and only takes a few minutes to register. Simply go to www.flexischools.com.au and click “Register Now”. You will be sent an email with further instructions on how to complete the registration. Once registered, you can start placing orders. If you have any questions, FlexiSchools provide a great help desk on 1300 361 769, or you can contact them via their website.

There are a variety of payment options supported, including Visa, Mastercard (credit and debit) and Bank Transfer. The system operates via a pre-paid account, so you no longer have to worry about the manual process of sending payments into school, and you can easily budget your children's spending and expenses throughout the year.

We look forward to seeing your next order online very soon!

If you have any questions about the online service, please ask the College Front Office for more information.

Iron & Clay Concert - June 22 2018

Iron and Clay had everyone jumping, cheering and singing along at our last Term 2 Secondary school Chapel. The atmosphere was electric and the vibe was super positive.  Each band member shared their personal story of finding hope in the resurrection of Jesus. Students went out to lunch buzzing with energy.
