The Registration Board determined to re-register the School under section 174 of the Education Act 2016 to provide the following education types: Kindergarten, Primary Education (Preparatory - Year 6), Secondary Education (Years 7-10) and Senior Secondary Education (Years 11 – 12). Thank you to all involved in this process.

Metro October Safety Campaign

Metro Tasmania is focussing on making the bus travel safe for everyone and this October are conducting a campaign on reducing the number of falls on their buses. Did you know most falls occur just after boarding or when preparing to get off the bus?  That’s why priority passengers need a seat near the door – so they can have more time to steady themselves.  Please click here for details and how we can all play our role at being safe on our buses.

CIE/CIS Self Study Survey

The Friends’ School has conducted a Council of International Schools (CIS) survey over the last six years and invited community members to respond. The survey results provide an opportunity to compare with the School’s participation since 2014 and to also compare results against an aggregate of international schools around the world.  Details of the 2018 report can be viewed here.  Shortly, the 2020 survey will be sent to parents, students (Years 5 to 12), staff and Board members.  We encourage and appreciate your participation in this valuable survey.

Hobart City Council Access Survey

In order to strengthen the Hobart City Council's (HCC) understanding of any potential travel safety issues for students accessing school, the HCC invites parents and guardians to complete the following survey by 30 October 2020.  With knowledge of the travel safety issues surrounding a school, solutions to alleviate these risks can be recommended and submitted by City of Hobart to State Growth as part of the Vulnerable Road User Program.
