Thank you to Geelong Regional Libraries

Geelong Regional Libraries were very fortunate early in the year to be granted funding to deliver an in-house program for VCE students to be able to study in designated quiet zones in the library. While there, they would be offered healthy food and snack options. The program is called Eat Cram Exam and is funded by Give Where You Live Foundation.

However, as with all of the libraries face to face programming, the format has had to change to a contactless delivery of care packages to students.  Each package has an approx. value of $50 and includes VCE resources, long life healthy snacks.

It was recognised by Give Where you Live that VCE students at many school such as Northern Bay College can sometimes have additional circumstances which can affect the equity of preparation for exams and the unique program to have libraries offer dedicated study space and support was commended.

The Corio Library Staff delivered over 35 packs of support materials, fresh and long life food, stationery materials and a great deal of Kindness to some VCE students at the College.

The Advertiser came for photos but as yet we have not seen the story!

The students certainly looked good enough for the paper and we thank them for giving up their time to pose.
