NAIDOC Week :

We had an amazing NAIDOC week.

Each day throughout the week, students engaged in some awesome activities.  We looked at traditional weapons and implements, we learnt about Indigenous ways of life, and embraced the motto: Always Was, Always Will Be.  On Friday we spent some time of craft activities based around Dreamtime Stories.  We learnt a lot about our Indigenous Australian culture.   Thank you to Mrs Taylor and Miss Allan for coordinating our events.  Thank you to our special guests Mrs Cooke and Mr Allan for also sharing their knowledge and time with us.  We also had a very tasty cake with the Torres Strait Islander  and the Aboriginal flags on the cake. A special thanks to Felicity Clark for creating a wonderful and delicious cake.

What Works Well:

So far, our sports shed has remained relatively clean and organised by some of our primary students and teachers.

Even Better If:

Please ensure that all jewellery worn to school is a necklace which must have a cross on it, a watch and when you wear earrings, make sure that they are studs or sleepers.

Presentation Day:

The students are all looking forward to welcoming parents for our Presentation Day.  More information about our planned event is contained in this Newsletter.
