2021 Transitions

2021 Curiosity School Children

Our Curiosity School Children have continued to be so brave and kind as they have visited the school for their transition visits.  The children have been sharing with us about their feelings and wonderings after each visit and here is a snapshot of some of things they are thinking about.

Danny - I want to know where we get water from so we can play with water?

Lucy - I look forward to seeing Anara, she was my first friend who I drew chalk with.

Jude - I thought there was one park and there was two.

Amelia - Do they have tiny people at school?  I want to see my cousin.

Luke - I am looking forward to making new friends and them to play with me.

Clara - I made a new friend, Milla.

Mrs Frost - I wonder if they make food at school?  Lilah - Yes, Mrs Frost, they do!

Charlie - I want to see my Tilly (sister) everyday.

Being able to talk at home about the questions your child has may be helpful in supporting your child to navigate their feelings about starting school next year.  If you are presented with any questions that you don't have the answers for feel free to email Mrs Oborn so that we can explore these with the children.

The children will continue to have opportunities to play at school over the last few weeks of the year offering time to develop further strong attachments with the staff and environment.

Our Final 'Move Up' Day for School is on Monday the 7th of December.

School Children - 8:30am start at the school.

2021 GSPV Foundation Parent Facebook Page

To support families in connecting in preparation for next year, a Facebook page has been created for 2021 GSLS Foundation families. This page has a parent and school administrator (David Phillips and Erin Copeland) and has a code of conduct attached to signing up.

Please contact the administrators if you wish to become part of the group.

Please ensure that no posting regarding Curiosity is made to this page. Thank you for honouring our Social Media guidelines for our Centre.

2021 Curiosity Children - Come & Play Sessions

What a great turn out we had on Thursday for our second 'Come and Play' session.  Mrs Deanshaw joined us this week to share in some Music and Movement time.

Again, our parent group shared about their highlights for 2020 with many themes of children's sense of belonging, community and growth.

Thank you to everyone who attended.
