Year 10 Subject Selections

In Semester 1, Year 10 students were working in their Pathway Mentoring class, learning about vocational pathways, course requirements and subject choices for Year 11.

Students will have received their Senior School Handbook. This contains information about career pathways and the subjects that students may choose to study in Year 11. Please spend some time with your child viewing the handbook and discussing options with your child.  As parents you will know your child’s passions, strengths, and interests and this will help you to guide and support your child as they plan their Senior Secondary Schooling.  At school we will continue to guide and support your child with the help of our experienced and dedicated Careers team.

These decisions are very important. As such we are dedicating time at school to ensure all students have all the information needed to make informed decisions. This can only be done with family support and input.

The College has prioritised our 2022 Year 10 students and the importance of their subject selections for 2023. To ensure we make maximum use of this opportunity, we have dedicated two days, Monday July 25 and Tuesday July 26, to course counselling.  Parents/guardians and students will meet with a Careers Practitioner for an individual appointment before making a final selection of subjects for next year.

Year 10 students will attend a pre-booked appointment at the school, with their parent/guardian. If you have not booked already please do so via this link: https://compasstix.com/e/0wchzwq6xq    For the remainder of the two days, students will work remotely from home.

All work will be on Compass and must be completed and submitted on Compass.  Catch up lunch sessions will be held for students who do not complete the tasks while at home.
