Schoolwide Positive Behaviour

Update

Term Three New PAC Cup Focus

‘Students Remaining in class and being active participants for the whole class.’

What does active participation look like in our classrooms?

  • Students who raise their hands and contribute to class discussions
  • Seeking out opportunities to ask and answer questions without being disruptive to the learning environment.
  • Participation in discussions
  • Providing feedback to others
  • Being respectful
  • Listening to classmates, taking turns
  • Contributing to a safe learning environment

Teachers are providing students with positive chronicles which will add to the PAC Cup Tally for their house.  The winning House will share in a free lunch 😊.  Remaining in class and being active participants for the whole class reinforces our College Values of:

  • Aspiration: we aspire to excellence in all that we do
  • Integrity: we act in a way that is honest and trustworthy
  • Respect: we show care for ourselves and others
  • Responsibility: we are accountable for our decisions and actions

This week we sent ‘Welcome Letters’ to our Year 7 2023 families. Over the coming term, our Transition Team and Year 7 Student Ambassadors will be visiting each of the Feeder Primary Schools to answer all questions relating to starting in Year 7 at GSSC.

We will also be holding a Year 6 – 7 Family Information Session on Wednesday August 24th (5:30 – 6:30pm).  2023 Enrolment Packs will be issued at this session.
