Visual Arts

With World Environment Day in mind,

the following artwork was produced.

The 3 / 4 students created collaborative trees which displayed the various seasons. They worked in groups of four to create images that connected Spring, Summer, Autumn and  Winter by using pastels and tempera paints. Here are some samples of todays work.

This week in Visual Arts we worked on a Unit called " Cover me in Sunshine". Some of us even started singing the same song by Pink through this lesson!  With such a dreary winter outlook, we thought it was time to brighten things up a bit and so the "Little Rays of Sunshine" in Grade One created these lovely sunshine paintings using oil pastels and tempera paints.

In Visual Arts, our Foundation students imagined they were looking down on Earth from Space. We talked about how clever God must be to create such a beautiful earth and all the planets around this. We discussed how we must care for the beautiful planet we live on. This is our way to say thankyou to God for this lovely place to live upon.  We can do this by planting more trees and being careful how much water we use. We created these images by using left over papers in the artroom and adding lands and oceans to our pictures.

Warm regards,
