Werribee Zoo Excursion

Alice Hamilton - Juniors

On Thursday the Juniors had a wonderful time at the Werribee Zoo! Despite the traffic, we arrived at the Zoo, eager to start out activities.

We looked at the amazing Australian animals, went into the habitat haven (which the public don't get to see!) and went on the Safari bus (which was by far the favourite part of our excursion!)

At the habitat haven, we had an explore of some bush craft, eggs and then had a keeper talk about wallabies.

On the Safari bus, we saw giraffes, hippos, rhinos, zebras, wallabies, ostriches and many more animals!

Despite the wintery weather, the rain stayed away and we all had a fabulous time!

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the Junior teachers, the ES staff, and the amazing parent helpers who gave up their time to come along. Also, a huge thank you to the Junior students who were wonderful on our first trip outside of BNW this year.
