and individually members of it.

1 Corinthians 12:27

Dear Parents

Over the last week the students in Year 3/4 have been exploring images of God. Scripture from both Old and New Testament provide us with many images of God. Artists create their own interpretations from their experiences and knowledge of God. The students have participated in dialogue, shared their interpretations about their image of God and created an art piece. Below are some of the art works of students images of God from Year 3/4.

I chose this image of God because it speaks to me of a God who gives ou courage and confidence.
I chose this image of God because it speaks to me of a God who is helping us grow.
I chose this image of God because it speaks to me of a God who made light and helps me follow him.
I chose this image of God because it speaks to me of a God of nature
I chose this image of God because it speaks to me of a God who guides people
I chose this image of God because it speaks to me of a God who is a protector and keeps us safe.
I chose this image because it speaks to me of a God who is calm.

Important Dates for Confirmation Candidates and Families

23rd and 24th July Commitment Mass

Confirmation candidates are expected to attend one of the masses this weekend. Mass times are 6pm Saturday night, Sunday 9am or 11am. The students will be asked to stand and  commit to preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation.

Faith Night for Confirmation- Tuesday 2nd August at 7pm

Parents and Confirmation Candidates are expected to attend a Confirmation Faith Night on Tuesday the 2nd August at 7pm – 8:30 in the Jarrow Room. This is an important evening where the teachers and parents work in partnership to explore the sacrament of Confirmation as your child continues along their faith journey.

Altar Serving

I am wondering if there are any children (Year 4 and above) who would like to train to become an altar server. This would require being on a roster and committing to serving at one of the parish masses on a regular basis. If this is something that you think your child might like to dole, please contact me (Bernadette).

Have a good week
