NETBALL

Dear Netball Families,

It is our last turn to do our duty on Saturday 30th July. After this duty, we are done!

If your child plays at 11:50am, please consider coming earlier at 11am to help put out the pads and set up the umpiring table.  Many hands make light work and I appreciate the people that come and help every single time! I'll also need a few people to be on the umpire's table with me from 11:30-2pm. We can do half-hour shifts. Coaches will be in touch with you all to get names and times.

Thanks so much!

JAY STONE - ATHLETICS COACHING - CARVED FROM STONE

During last term we were lucky enough to have gained a Sporting Schools Grant for athletics. We had Jay Strong, a coach endorsed by Athletics Australia, come into the school to teach our children different athletics techniques. Jay will be back this  Term 3 to help our Diocesan students hone their skills as well as working with our Kinder and Year 1 children on Fundamental Movement Skills. Jay will also be conducting professional development with our staff on field events.

Jay would like to extend the following:

"I would like to say how much I have enjoyed my time coaching this term at St Nicholas, and that I am excited to be back for next term.  For any students who achieve the qualifying times in track events at the Athletics Carnival on Friday, I would like to offer them the option of attending track training sessions during the school holidays - free of charge - to help them prepare for the Diocesan Carnival.

Contact me via email: just_glyding2@yahoo.com for more information.

Opportunities for interested athletes to gain extra field event coaching during Term 3, follow the Tamworth Athletics Club Facebook page."

A huge thank you is extended to Jay for his dedication and commitment to our school, our teachers, staff and our students! We appreciate your professionalism, compassion, and commitment to your profession!
