Another Opening, Another Show

Tim Dehn - Community Relations Manager

A Saturday afternoon in June. Every seat in the Karalyka Centre in Ringwood filled. I'm at the matinee performance of our Secondary musical production, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

And it's amazing! A great band, some super voices, wit, timing, cheeky style, cunning special effects, and a crazy chorus of mop-headed oompa loompas dancing and singing to Wonka's every whim.

For the students to be able to perform again after all the false starts, changes and postponements of the last two years was just fantastic, and the sheer thrill of being on stage - or in the pit - shone clearly through every actor's and every musician's performance.

The cast and crew - not to mention the audience at every sold-out performance - had an experience they will always cherish.

To all those who worked countless hours on top of everything else to make this a reality – a deep heartfelt thanks from us all.
