Dunlop
It has been another busy term in Dunlop House as the year rockets along so quickly.
In week 4 we celebrated several student achievements in academics, sports, music, technologies and other areas. It was great to see the great array of talents on display from our Dunlop students.
SCHOOL VALUES AWARDS
At our Dunlop assembly several students were presented with School Values award. Students were nominated by teachers for displaying one of the school values of Respect, Excellence or Citizenship.
We have now opened nominations to students who can nominate a fellow student for an award. We hope to present these awards in Week 10 of this term.
FUN FRIDAY ACTIVITIES
The last couple of weeks have seen our students undertake some games against Freeman House in a friendly Fun Friday competition. So far the students have participated in Pictionary and relay games. More activities will follow in the last 2 weeks of terms. A big thankyou to the school captains who have come up with the idea and made it happen.
DUNLOP'S GOT TALENT
After great success last year, we have again launched our Dunlop’s Got Talent competition. Students can submit a video of themselves doing something talented and we will name an overall winner at the end of the term. The other houses are going to follow suit so we may be able to crown a school winner in term 4.
Any students who wish to enter please contact a member of the Dunlop Leadership team who will add them to the 'team' for this event.
THANK-YOU AND FAREWELLS
This week we will be farewelling two members of the Dunlop team. Ms Cathy Tzaikou has retired from teaching after more than 30 years in the service. We wish Cathy very well in her retirement and future.
Also, Hannah Rosa, D10 mentor teacher will finish up and take up some maternity leave. We wish Hannah and her family well in the upcoming birth. Also, thanks to Jo Henry who has been working in the Dunlop office this term and will be resuming her role in integration.
