Design and Technologies

Bay Quilters 

Bay Quilters was formed in October 2003 as a community group to encourage and support the art of textiles and quilting in the local community.

Since the beginning of 2007, 4413 quilts from the heart have been lovingly made and donated by the generous members for their chosen charities.

The Bay Quilters held an exhibition over the school term break.  Over 100 beautiful quilts were on display.  

Students in Year 9 Creative Textiles had been working tirelessly with new formed skills of applique, 3D design work, pattern matching, colour application and composition to complete a homeware for their design brief.

It was an honour to have our Year 9 Creative Textiles class invited to display their products at the exhibition.
