Showcasing our past students

LIAM BEATTY (2008)

The responsibility for growing young minds and educating our nation’s future leaders and decision makers is one that Liam executes with professionalism and enthusiasm.

As a Marist College Ashgrove graduate from the class of 2008, Liam has cemented himself as a passionate Catholic Educational Leader who has become known by his peers for his experience in contemporary learning and teaching and building strong relationships within the school communities he has worked. Returning to the College at the beginning of this year in the role of Head of Primary School, Liam is committed to ensuring that all boys at the College are both challenged and supported to reach their full potential.

As a student Liam immediately found a sense of belonging at Marist College. Being an only child, he thrived in an environment where the College culture of mateship saw him grow from being a child to a young man ready to take a leap into the real world. In fact it was after an experience coaching students in the primary school when he was in Year 11 that made Liam decide to pursue a career in education.

Liam speaks fondly of the relationships he built during his time at the College, both with his teachers and his peers, and proudly states that the groomsmen for his wedding in December are all close friends that he made at Marist.

Forever the Marist Man, Liam is committed to personal growth and development as his continues his studies in the fields of school management and leadership whilst being an active member of the Boston College Emmaus Leadership Academy and Australian Council of Educational Leaders.

Liam’s passion for inspiring others to align their thinking and behaviour with the Colleges shared vision, direction and purpose is laying strong foundation in the education of our College primary students whilst proving the secondary students with a daily reminder of what dedication and hard work can achieve.

The College community continues to be motivated by the success of our past students and are honoured when these students return to us to give back to the school community.
