CELEBRATING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE@CSPS

End of Year Reports

End of year reports will once again be provided with a modified version. Reports will be released via Compass at the end of the term. Further information will be released towards the end of term.

To meet the Foundation to Year 10 (F-10) student reporting requirements for Semester 2, schools must provide a written report (print or digital) in an accessible format that is easy for parents or carers to understand.

For English and Mathematics, schools must:

  • provide a short description of what was taught
  • report achievement by making a teacher judgement against the Victorian Curriculum F-10 achievement standards (including Towards Foundation Levels A-D)
  • Provide a 1-2 sentence - general comment/ eg. remote learning.
  • report progress since the last time the curriculum area was reported on (this should be automatically generated by the reporting software)
  • include an age-related five-point scale.

All other curriculum areas

For all other curriculum areas delivered, including English as an Additional Language, schools must provide a short description of what was taught.

In addition, schools must also provide either:

  • a teacher judgement against the Victorian Curriculum F-10 achievement standards, including Towards Foundation Levels A-D, and a five-point scale (this option should be used only if enough assessment evidence is available)

OR

  • a short comment on progress and achievement in their learning across the semester. This is the option that Semester 2 reports will provide in 2021.

Learning Tasks

Learning Tasks also provide parents/caregivers the opportunity to view student progress. Three learning tasks are released each term - Reading, Writing and Mathematics. Learning Tasks can also be accessed where school reports are found on Compass.

If you have any further queries please contact your classroom teacher via email.
