We are coming up to a favourite time of year for Syndal South students: the annual Easter Hamper raffle!

 

Syndal South parents are very generous with chocolate egg donations and last year we were able to make up nearly 40 hampers of eggs and Easter crafts. It is lovely to watch so many children win a prize at the end-of-term assembly.  The smiles are enormous!

 

If you would like to help to assemble the hampers, the PA will be running a wrapping session at the school on Monday 3rd April from 3.45 – 5pm.  We are a bit short on space this year because of the building works, so we need to work on them after school, in Mrs Melke’s classroom (next to the office).

 

All helpers will need a current Working with Childrens’ Check (free for volunteers) and a 2023 induction.  Michelle from the office will run a quick induction session on the day at 3.45pm.  Meet her at the school office.

Second-hand Uniform Donations

Has your child grown out of their school uniform?  No-one to hand them down to?  Please consider donating them to the school for our second-hand uniform shop.  Many families appreciate the opportunity to buy pre-loved clothes.

 

Donations can be dropped off at the school office.  

 

All proceeds from the uniform shop will go towards fitting out the new library.

 

The Second-Hand Uniform Shop operates on the first Thursday of each month at 9am, in the OSHC Kitchen.

SSPS PA Footy Tipping

There is still time to join this exciting footy tipping competition and help the Parents' Association with fundraising for the school.  The more people in the competition the more money there is for prizes and for the school.  With only 14 more days until the first game for the season it is now time to join by heading to:

The cost to enter is $25.  Payment can be made by forwarding the $25 to the school office in an envelope with your name and tipping name on it.  Payment can also be made by EFT at the office.  Weekly prizes are up for grabs, as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd end of season prizes/vouchers.  Gotta be in it to win it!
