Monitoring Our Children's Media Consumption - Common Sense Media

It can be a real challenge working out what is appropriate for our kids to be viewing and interacting with in the vast media landscape they are now exposed to.

From television and movie streaming services, youtube videos, computer games to social media platforms, there is just so much to keep track of.

One resource that is very helpful is Common Sense Media. This is a website that has great advice for parents on the appropriateness of all forms of media. You can seach for particular programs, games and platforms to find detailed reviews of all aspects of the content as well as age recomendations.

There is also an excellent section dedicated specifically to social media which details all of the major platforms.
