Sacred Heart Meals Service

Dear Sacred Heart families and teachers,

We have taken over the very privileged job of coordinating the Sacred Heart Meals Service from Caroline Touzeau, who did an amazing job with this important service for many years before her last child moved on to high school this year.

What it the meals service:

The Sacred Heart Meals Service is available to all Sacred Heart families that require some practical help in the form of meals at a time of need. This may be due to a very happy occasion such as a new birth in the family, or in more difficult circumstances such as a death or illness in a family.

How does it work:

The Meals Service Coordinators can be contacted by a teacher, class rep, member of the Parents Association, a friend within the school or the family members themselves. The coordinators would then contact the family to chat about what would be helpful (e.g. how often, favourite meals, dietary requirements etc) and then coordinate the service, requesting assistance from the relevant year level.

It’s important to note that we are very careful in being discreet at all times and maintaining confidentiality, ensuring the family are happy with what information (if any) is passed on to those we are asking to assist.

We can be contacted via the following methods:

amymcivor@yahoo.com.au

Caroline O’Sullivan

Ph 0419 100 964

Please feel free to reach out to either of us with any questions, we are here to help!

Kind regards,

Caroline O’Sullivan (Kitty Grade 4 and  Billy Grade 2) and Amy McIvor (Rafferty Grade 1)

SACRED HEART KEW BUNNINGS BBQ FUNDRAISER

WHERE: Bunnings Hawthorn

WHEN:  Saturday 25th March, 2023 from 7.30AM - 4.30PM

Sacred Heart Kew has been lucky enough to get a spot to run a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser. Funds will go towards environment and sustainability projects at the school. To run this fundraiser, we need volunteers to help run the BBQ on the day and donation items.

Can you spare a few hours to help on the day?

We need volunteers for two hour time slots to help set up, cook a few snags and collect the cash for our fundraiser.

Please sign up for a time slot here:

https://volunteersignup.org/TBQ39

Can you donate some items we need on the day?

We are in the process of gathering donations from local businesses and we’d love a few items to be contributed by families to ensure we can pass on as much money to the school as possible.

Please sign up to donate items we need here:
