St Patrick's Day Mass

Today, as part of Catholic Education Week, all Melbourne Catholic schools were invited to send a student representative group to St Patrick’s Cathedral to celebrate the annual St Patrick’s Day Mass.

Our School and House Captains attended and were fabulous ambassadors for Sacred Heart Kew. Archbishop Peter Comensoli celebrated the Mass and told the children of Patrick’s love for Jesus and how he spread Christianity to the people of Ireland, after saying 'Yes' to God at the age of 16. The children were amazed at the size and sheer beauty of St Patrick’s Cathedral and were lucky enough to be given a guided tour of the Cathedral after Mass. The day continued with lunch in the Treasury Gardens where the children played with other children from a number of different Catholic schools in a variety of sport activities.
