Secondary Swimming Championships

CSEN Swimming Championships

On Friday 17 March selected students represented Heatherton Christian College at the CSEN Swimming Championships at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. Students spent the previous four weeks waking up early twice a week for 6:00am training sessions at Noble Park Aquatic Centre.

Our students represented the College well with most students swimming personal bests in their individual races and nearly all our relay times swimming much faster than their seed times.

We would like to congratulate Samantha on winning the Girls under 21 100m Freestyle and coming second in the 50m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle. We would also like to congratulate our Girls under 21 medley relay team consisting of Rachel, Taylor, Renee and Sam on coming second.

Overall, our swim team came third in our division and were awarded four age group champion flags, well done to the under 21 girls, under 21 boys, under 15 girls and under 14 boys for their success in the pool. We would like to thank Mrs Wan, Mr John and Mr Bunyoun for training our students this term and for the commitment shown by our swimmers.

Secondary House Swimming Records

We would like to congratulate two of our Secondary students who broke HCC swimming records at the Secondary House Swimming carnival earlier in the year.

Poppy – U 13 Butterfly 50m

Coby – U 14 Freestyle  50m and U 14 Backstroke 50m

Well done to all of these students!
