Message of Easter

For us as Christians, Easter is a time of great joy and celebration, as it represents the ultimate victory of good over evil and of life over death (1Peter 2:24, Mark 16:6-7).

While most of our students understand that Easter is the fulfillment of Jesus' mission on earth and his triumph over sin and death, our aim in Christian Life classes is to help students to experience the impact of Jesus’ death and resurrection in their daily lives and to learn how to apply the message of Easter to their experiences and relationships.

Allow us to share some of our lesson components with you; perhaps you can start a discussion with your child about the following impacts and applications of the message of Easter:

Impact

The Easter message offers hope, forgiveness, love and community. The resurrection of Jesus gives us hope for new beginnings and life after death. Jesus' death offers forgiveness for sins, allowing us to start anew. His sacrifice inspires us to show love and compassion towards others. The message of Easter brings people together to build a community and encourages us to support and encourage one another.

Application

The message of Easter can be applied to everyday life through forgiveness, love, service and growing in faith. Forgiving others and letting go of negative emotions, showing kindness and compassion towards those who are struggling, serving others through volunteering or helping those in need and deepening faith through prayer, Bible reading, and attending church are ways to live out the message of Easter. It is a reminder that Easter is not just a one-day celebration, but a way to make a positive impact in the world.

This Easter and these holidays, it is our prayer and hope that you and your loved ones experience the transformative power of Jesus' death and resurrection by finding hope, receiving forgiveness, showing love and building community with those around you.
