Footy Incursion Review

By Cleo.

Last week, there was a girls' footy incursion where someone came in to teach all of us in 3-6 footy skills! We learnt how to kick, and handball and we also did a few games. In one of the games we played tunnel ball and we had the challenge to see which team could cheer the loudest (we were all very loud!). We also learnt how to catch a ball properly with your hands in the shape of a W. I really enjoyed it and thought that it was a really good and fun day.

Buddy time!

By Grace

Late last year, we met our buddies. Since the beginning of the year we have been having lunch with them every Friday, we also do activities together before we go out to eat our lunch like playing with blocks of lego, mindful colouring and playing with bubbles in the secret garden.

We do this to check in on them, have some fun and make sure they have settled in! We are very proud to see all the friends they're making and how they are cooperating with each other.

Lunchtime Clubs

St Joseph's have many lunchtime clubs available for students to join. Here are a few we have taken part in so far:

Sports Club with Mr Cleary

By Nicholas and Alex P.

On Thursdays, we have Sports Club where we do many fun sports all picked out by Mr. Cleary and the Sports Captains. Sports club starts every first break and ends around 11:25. Everyone is welcome to join in, see you there!

Gardening Club

By Adi and Joe

The Gardening club begins on Monday's first break! In Gardening Club everyone is welcome to join in and help us. We are currently weeding the plants. When we finish the weeding, we will plant more wonderful fruits and vegetables! And when the plants are ready to harvest we give them out for free!

Gardening is good for you because it can relieve stress and if you like nature you will love Gardening Club, come and give it a try!

Sewing Club

By Eliza and Alex F

Sewing Club is every Tuesday with Miss Karen. We have been sewing poppies for Remembrance day and Anzac day. It has been alot of fun. We are trying to take our time with this project because it is really special to us and it is good to have some fun and make a good project. We have been working really hard with the sewing and have improved our sewing skills - thanks, Miss Karen! In a few weeks time, we will be doing a new project for our Art teacher, Mrs Cummings. Doing sewing is a good meditative thing that makes you calm and helps you concentrate, we all love it so much!

Drama Club

by Michael & Laura

Welcome to Drama Club everyone! Drama Club is on Wednesday first half of the first play. Everyone is invited to come and have a lot of fun and meet new friends.

Ms Cleere runs Drama Club with the Art Captains. We do lots of things like dancing to help us practice our skills to be ready for the production! See you there!
