Term 1 week 8
Worldwide Culture and Cultural Diversity
With St Patricks day being last Friday, we felt it was fitting for our program last week to revolve around ‘Worldwide Culture’ We shared with each other aspects of cultural backgrounds, and we earnt so much about each other through the various activities during the week. Including Musical Statues/ Around the world colouring, Chinese Drum/ Flag bingo, Pyramid Building/ Origami, Mini Pizzas/ Henna hands, Corre, Corre la Guaraca/ Snake tiggy Soccer and Colouring sheets. Finally on Friday we made Leprechaun paper plate masks and Paper Strip Shamrocks we also watched the Brave (movie)
On the back of worldwide cultures and with Harmony day being this week we are focused on Cultural Diversity within Australia!
This week we have had another week jam packed with activities despite the four days including the following Aboriginal Symbols Play Dough mats, Rainbow Serpent Paper plates, Paint a portrait and Harmony Day Hearts, Sunscreen Handprints and Koala Biscuits, games such as Apwerte and Bowitgee. Today we reflected on our weeks and completed some Australian Colouring Sheets and Wattle artworks and watched the movie Paper planes
VACATION CARE
Our Easter Vacation program is now open for booking online through Hubhello .
We will be running a two week program from Tuesday 11th April until Friday 21st April. We have some exciting excursions booked in and look forward to some fun filled days at school too.
Come and join us for an Easter party on the first day including dancing, party food, Easter crafts, games and a Jumping castle
It seems that the majority of families will need to use the service in the winter holidays but are happy with a service based program so we WILL be opening.
There also seemed to be an overwhelming request for us to open at the end of term 4 in the week leading up to Christmas. Watch this space for more information on that !
