Garden Report

Weeding is still keeping us fully occupied in the garden.  A little bit of warmth and one or two sunny days has seen an explosion in their growth.

The blossoms are beginning to open and all the seedlings that have been planted over the last couple of months are now really beginning to take off.  The garden is looking lovely.

We had another big tidy up last week, carting prunings to the bonfire and generally making the garden look it’s best.

The Prep/1’s we’re delighted to see that some of the beans they planted a few weeks ago, were big enough to plant out into the garden and that the beetroot had sprouted too.

Happy Gardening.

Chickens in Melbourne Show

Grades 5/6 have been learning about chickens and their adaptations.  The 5/6 students have been busy caring for 5 chickens that will be heading to The Royal Melbourne Show these holidays.  The chickens will be judged on their health and egg production.  Our students will also submit a class poster on our chickens.  Don’t forget to pencil a visit to the show, and our chickens, into your holiday plans.
