Catholic Schools Week Open Classrooms

It was wonderful to see so many parents, carers and grandparents on Friday to celebrate Catholic Schools Week during our Open Classrooms. There was such positive energy throughout the school.

Big Veg Crunch 2020

The Big Vegie Crunch was held last week at SJB. This is an exciting event that focuses positive attention, and helps celebrate, the humble veg. Last Thursday the canteen sold 'corn on the cob' to enhance the 'eat more veg' vibes and these were enjoyed by many students! Thank you to those that organised and sold the corn on the day!

Our school had a total of 331 students crunching vegetables at 10am! This was 50 more than last year so we beat our SJB record!

Keep up the great work by choosing healthy fruits and vegetables to eat daily for crunch and sip.

Parents may find the following links useful to support the teaching of good nutrition and healthy eating and drinking habits.

We look forward to some more veg-tastic ways to continue to promote healthy eating. Watch this space for our design, draw and colour competition that will be advertised and held later this year during Fruit & Veg Month , to put another positive focus back on fruit and vegetables!

National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence

Friday 20 March 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of The National Day of Action (NDA) against Bullying and Violence. The NDA 2020 theme is, "Take Action Together".

St. Joseph's, Bulli joins other schools across Australia to say ‘Bullying. No Way!’ We’re proud to be a NDA school and we’re proud to make a stand against bullying at school, home and online.

The NDA promotes school, parent and community partnerships to build supportive learning environments and find workable solutions to address bullying. Together we can make change. Everyone has a role to play in supporting young people in dealing with bullying and helping to energise positive discussions about the issue.
