From the Office

From the Chaplain
So we are heading to that time of the year where we search deep into the back of our cupboards for our moccies, dust off our gown and enjoy being rugged up in front of the TV with a blanket.
We also get the opportunity to enjoy different foods as salads and snags are replaced with veggies and the slow cooker gets another run as we bring our latest soup recipes into work, all in the effort to stay warm.
I'm not much of a winter person but there is something to be said for hibernating as we prepare for winter.
It is well known that animals need to hibernate to conserve energy as they tackle the colder climates of their native seasons but I have already noticed characteristics of this in my own life.
As I get home from work and it's dark I cannot go outside to wash a car or mow the lawn mid week and it is kind of nice not having these pressures. I can just enjoy being inside more, resting whilst the weather turns cold for the next few months.
The different season brings a different pace and new opportunities.
I hope you can find the time to enjoy what this colder season can bring.
