Crafty math

We've been crafting away in math using count back cats and in history we made chronological narratives. These tell a story of how we have changed over the years from a baby until now. Much like the flowers the preps decorated themselves as, the students have grown and blossomed up over their 5 or 6 years!

Incursions

Our Toys Over Time incursion was a great experience for the students to see how toys have changed from “the olden days” (ranging from the not so olden days with Furbies of the 90s to thousands of years ago with the spinning top).

Our second incursion was a science incursion from Reptile Encounters. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE for all the kids to get a chance to hold or touch some of the animals. We got to meet tree frogs, an olive python, stick insects, a blue tongue lizard, a frill neck dragon, and even A CROCODILE! We learnt a lot of interesting things from Josh from Reptile Encounters also (who some students got to meet last year at kinder!), so ask your children if they remember any of the fun facts! If not, here’s one to help: an olive python can grow up to 5m long!
