Thank You to the School Community

As we near the end of Term 2, I cannot express how grateful I am to all the staff, students and families at North Melbourne Primary School. 

This term has been such a big milestone for NMPS and together we have shown great flexibility and resilience as we now operate across the two campuses. Thank you to our teachers and ES staff who have ensured the learning and wellbeing of our students, staff and families have remained at the forefront at all times. 

We look forward to the remainder of the year as we further establish and embed our practice across both the Errol Street Campus and Molesworth Street Campus.

Student Reports

This term teachers have been assessing student learning achievement and writing student reports, celebrating student learning growth throughout Semester One. Student reports will be shared with parents via Compass on Friday 23rd June. We encourage parents to read and reflect upon your child/ren’s report/s and celebrate their successes.

2022 Annual Report to the School Community

The Annual Report to the School Community provides principals and school councils with an opportunity to share the year’s achievements and progress with the school community. This includes reflecting on the school’s performance and explaining the positive impact of school improvement efforts on student outcomes.

Our 2022 Annual Reporting Community Meeting will be held at 5:30pm on 15th June at the Errol Street Campus in the Aquarium. If you would like to attend this meeting, please register your interest via this link. 

Staffing Update

This week we say goodbye to Sarah Connors as she begins her maternity leave. We wish Sarah and her family all the best as they prepare to welcome another new addition to their family.

We are also going to take this opportunity to farewell Emily Marlow, who begins her maternity leave at the beginning of Term 3. We send our best wishes to Emily and her partner, Matt, as they begin this new chapter of their lives.

We welcome Hannah Sinclair and Breanna Chapman to NMPS. Hannah will replace Sarah on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesday as 4D’s teacher and Bre will replace Emily as Prep D’s teacher for the remainder of the school year. Please feel free to say ‘hello’ to Hannah and Bre if you see them around the school next term.

Whole School Assembly 

There will be a whole school assembly on Friday 23rd June at 2:10pm at our Errol Street Campus to celebrate the end of Term 2. This assembly is an opportunity for us to come together, celebrate our achievements, and reinforce the unity that makes our school community so special. 

Our P-2 students will be walking over with their bags from Molesworth Street campus to join the 3-6 students at the Errol Street Campus. 

All students will be dismissed from our Errol Street Campus after assembly at 2:30pm. We kindly ask that you arrange to pick up your child directly from the Errol Street Campus at this time. Please make the necessary arrangements to ensure a timely pickup for your child or register your child with Biz-e-Kidz.
