Year 6 students have been enjoying this week in the kitchen producing a delicious family favourite with a twist. We baked spring roll wrappers in the oven until nice and crunchy, then utilised them to serve our fried rice, with the bonus of a homemade sweet chilli sauce drizzled on top.
Fried rice is a fantastic meal that can be prepared with left over rice from the fridge and any veggies that you have. We also tried a new garnish today, Ceylon spinach. Students commented that it tastes just the same as spinach and warrigal greens, and the buds look a little like asparagus.
