Australian history

As a cross curriculum link and to promote wider community engagement, students took part in the Student Rebuild Program. This is a non-for-profit organisation whose mission is to inspire students around the world to take action and create change. This year the project is about designing postcards and raising moment to welcoming people displaced by war and other crises to their new homes. 

Creating postcards

In art we looked at picture books around this topic and talked about our own experiences. Students spent several weeks creating their postcards. In class they wrote a message to accompany their work.
