Student Excellence @ SKiPPS

Here are our Year 5/6 students who were selected for Term 1 of the Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP). 

The Victorian High-Ability program has provides high-ability students in Years 5 to 8 at government schools the opportunity to participate in 10-week online enrichment program, in English and Mathematics. 

The virtual program, delivered by Virtual School Victoria, focuses on extending and developing students' mathematical and English abilities working in virtual classes with other high-ability students from local schools.

It was great because the teacher was really nice and made it easy to understand. We learnt about the Hero’s Journey which is a cycle of events that happens in many popular stories. That helped me to write better adventure narratives

We learnt about Egyptian and Chinese numbers and Roman numerals. This helped deepen my mathematical understanding
