NAPLAN 2023
Dear Parents and Carers of Year 7 and Year 9 Students,
In the coming week you will receive your child’s individual NAPLAN report. This year’s report will be different to previous years as the way performance is reported has changed. ACARA now groups student performance in the four following categories:
- Exceeding
- Strong
- Developing
- Needs Additional Assistance
These ‘proficiency standards’ replace the band system which was previously in place. Further information explaining the changes and a sample of what the new reports look like can be found in the documents below.
