Acting-Principal Message

It was wonderful to welcome all staff and students back to the College for Term 3. This term is an important term for taking next steps in learning. It is a time for students to reflect on their feedback in Semester 1 and make goals for improvement.

Students in Years 8 and 10 are making important decisions around learning pathways with subject selection processes happening throughout the term for 2024.

For Year 11 students, the focus is on preparing for their first formal examination period at the end of the Preliminary course in Weeks 8 and 9 this term. We have also met with Year 11 about nominations for Student Representative Council (SRC) to be a part of the 2024 student leadership team.  We encourage interested students to apply to be an SRC leader. Nominations close next Friday.

Year 12 students have been working hard to finalise HSC Major Projects across a range of subjects.  We wish Year 12 all the best with their Trial HSC Exams which commence on Monday next week and would like to remind all students that these exams provide an opportunity for exam practice, feedback and growth leading into the final HSC exams later this year.

We would like to welcome Mrs Shelley du Toit to our teaching team. Shelley joins us with considerable expertise as an English teacher. We have also welcomed two additional counsellors to our Wellbeing team, Bre Camp and Sarah Sinclair.

Mr Chris Browne is on leave this term, travelling overseas with his wife,  and I would like to thank Mr Kieran Udy and Mr David Chaston for stepping up into the roles of Assistant Principal and Leader of Mission respectively,  to support the College during this time.
