Rockfest
We have 1 band entered into Rockfest this year.
Rockfest is a national battle of the bands run by Coleman’s music.
The band is System Overload and is made up of members of our your 6 cohort - M Allen, D Plavins, B Stoiljkovic, Q Asmussen, O Hoiles and O Dart.
A band from TPS has made the national finals the last 2 years. We hope to achieve this again and could use your help.
If you could take the link below and give the song a listen, a like and a comment would really help the band.
Here is the Youtube link to their song - System Overload - RockFest 2023
Alternately you can find their song but typing Rockfest Australia Trafalgar into your Youtube search bar.
Term 2 instrumental concert
Twice a year The TPS Music Deptartment holds an instrumental concert for extra curricular instrumental students. Mid-year and End of the year.
These concerts are used to showcase the work students have accomplished in instrumental lessons with their instrumental teachers.
The Mid-year instrumental concert took place on Thursday 22nd of June in the music room and was a huge success with many great performances. Congratulations to those who took part.
If you are interested in your child being a part of the thriving TPS music instrumental program, there are still some vacancies with some of our teachers. Either visit TPS Music website - Instrumental page where you can find information about the program, bios on our teachers and a link to the instrumental form, or grab a form from outside the music room or the front office.
What is it?
The Bebras Competition is a competition designed to test students on their ability to solve complex problems in informatics and computational thinking, but with no coding involved! Students of all ages, across 30 different countries compete on a yearly basis to prove themselves on an international stage.
Students can work by themselves or in teams of up to 4 students. The students work together to solve problems and submit answers to see how they do against students in other schools and across the globe.

Thursday the 3rd of August will mark the 100th day of school for our Trafalgar Primary School Foundation students and we would love to mark this occasion with a celebration. We ask that on this day Foundation students (and families if they would like) take part in a celebration of '100.' This could be done in a number of ways, such as; dressing up as someone who has graced the earth for 100 years, dressing up with a collection of 100 things, bringing a bag of 100 items, or even a drawing that represents 100. On this day the students will take part in a range of activities to celebrate a wonderful start to their learning journey.

On Tuesday 18th July our students participated in the Lions Club Public Speaking competition, congratulations to all who participated.
A special mention goes to P Brown and A Crow for making it into the second round. Good luck to you both.
