Welcome Regency Park

On Wednesday 7 June, Wantirna College welcomed a visit by 91 Grade 6 students from Regency Park Primary School. These students had the opportunity to undertake a 'high school lesson' as a precursor for their experiences next year. All four primary school classes attended, from lunch time until the end of the day, and students experienced the following opportunities: 

• Science - chemical reactions
• Food technology - making play dough  
• Systems technology - wobble bots

Six of our seven Scholarship students (Ishani Deshpande, Sami Waddell, Nadia Tan, Leilani Nasr, Samantha Koedyk and Brody Appleton) supported the primary school students and did a fantastic job. They assisted them with their tasks and held conversations with them regarding their feelings toward starting Secondary School next year. 

Overall, everyone had a fantastic afternoon. A special shout out to Natasha Haggar, Peter Kos, Claire Baillie, Tess Murnane and Clara Ranellone for their assistance in running the program.
