Year 8 Round Up

This term, Year 8s have been working hard on their attendance and their lateness, with an overall positive increase in engagement on both fronts. Well done Year 8!

Dodgeball

Year 8s also took part in a fierce Dodgeball Homegroup Competition, and the competition was real! Every lunch time for one week, four homegroups faced off; ducking and weaving in an attempt to be reigned champion of their session. The final showdown was between 8I and 8D, and whilst 8D fought valiantly, the best team at the end was 8I, who managed to gather teachers and their whole class and win both matches. An amazing comeback considering they were 5th on the ladder coming into the final. It was great to see the support not only from students, but also all the teachers who made an appearance for their classes. Students were treated to a pizza lunch this week for their efforts.

The Kindness Project

Our Homegroup Competition for Term 3 will be The Kindness Project, where students can conduct acts of kindness towards their peers and teachers, promoting harmony and overall feelings of wellness between the cohort. Students should keep an eye on Teams for more information in Term 3.

Green Post Shout-out

Finally, we would like to give a huge shout-out to the following students for generating 15 or more Green Posts for Term 2. They have modelled positive behaviour in their classes, and have been working hard to complete their work and follow the school wide positive behaviours, overall,
