Mr Reid's Sports Report

SPORTS REPORT

Not much to report back on these last couple of weeks unfortunately. Our Seacliff Tiger Cup was cancelled due to our new COVID restrictions. Our selected swimming and track and field students missed out on their state day as well. We should recognise Brayden McKenzie for his 800m running. To make it to a State day is not an easy thing to do. Congratulations to Mike Williams and Zane Rooney who would have represented West Beach Ps at the state swimming. We know you would have swam really well. Congrats boys!

In other news, Room 14 enjoyed a spot of 'Zabuton' Pillow Fighting. Did you know that there was such a thing in Japan? We watched how it works and replicated it as a celebration for our last PE and Japanese lesson for the year!

Even with a few restrictions, it has been a huge year of sport. Thanks to all parents/caregivers who helped coach/transport/support teams throughout the year. I really appreciate your support in this. There is too many to name. The students have had an awesome year. Thank you.
