Bayside Youth Ambassadors

We are relaunching the Bayside Youth Ambassadors, a youth action group delivered by Bayside City Council Youth Services. 

The program gives students an opportunity to come together and discuss the matters that affect them most in Bayside and we would love to have representatives from your school on the panel. 

We are writing to you to ask for your support by promoting this to your students- particularly nominating those who are eager to have their voices heard in our wider community. The once a month commitment will offer young people amazing personal development training and the opportunity to consult on things happening in Bayside that impact young people. 

Young people will come together with other Bayside young leaders, address our Councillors and MPs and have their say about issues from the environment, employment, transport and health as well as gaining valuable skills in leadership and advocacy.

We are asking schools to identity students who would relish this opportunity and direct them to https://www.bayside.vic.gov.au/bayside-youth-ambassadors where they can sign up to be part of this awesome youth-led panel. 

Our first meeting commences Tuesday 9 Feb 2021, early evening (time tbc). Young people who are unable to attend the first session are encouraged to sign up as we meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month (excluding public holidays).
