Looking for a job?
Make sure you keep an eye on the ASC Careers Facebook page if you are looking for part-time or full-time employment. Local businesses often contact the school when they are wanting to fill a position, and this is where that information is then shared. For example, some of the notifications which have been posted over the past four weeks include:

- Uniplan - trade qualified staff, trainees, office administration;

- NTL Aviation Services - ramp duties and airline check-in at Tamworth Airport;

DCJ Scholarships: $1,000
Applications for scholarships offered by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) in 2021 are now open!! Successful applicants will receive $1,000 to help with school expenses and secondary support services.
These scholarships are available to people studying in:
- Year 10, 11 or 12 at a NSW high school or equivalent at a TAFE college;
- a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship; or
- a VET subject at a NSW high school.
Applications for DCJ Scholarships close on Friday, 19th of February 2021 at 5pm.
Year 12 School Leaver Summer Skills Program
Under the Skilling for Recovery initiative, Year 12 school leavers are able to access FREE short courses or skills training in 2020-21. Learn skills for in-demand jobs, build your resume and join school leavers across the state planning for their future.
Not sure where to start? The Summer Skills support team is available to help find a local training provider and enrol in the training course that's right for you. Speak to them today by calling 13 28 11.
Tertiary Access Payment
The Tertiary Access Payment (TAP) is available to help students with the cost of moving from outer regional or remote areas for tertiary study.
It comprises of $5,000 paid in two instalments. It’s to help eligible students with the cost of moving to begin university study.
Students may also be eligible for other financial support while undertaking their university/tertiary studies:
