Debating Finalists

ASC is just about to conclude a huge and highly successful term of debating!

We began the term with teams from Year 7 to Year 11 staging debates with other schools from across the state in the Premier's Debating Competition. Covid-19 restrictions has done little to hamper the competition, with all teams easily transitioning to Zoom-based presentations for each encounter.

After successfully making it through three debates against teams from within the zone,   ASC's Year 8 Debating Team has steadily progressed through subsequent knockout rounds, including opponents from Menai High School, Albion Park High School, Rose Bay Secondary College, Mount View High School and Smiths Hill High School.

The team is readying itself for the state finals this Thursday against Callaghan College in Waratah.
